The Glasgow Stedfast Association

for Supporters and Former Members of The Boys’ Brigade

BB Anchor

Were you in the Boys’ Brigade? Are you currently helping as an officer or leader? Are you a supporter? Then the Stedfast Association will be of interest to you. Local Associations are established to provide fellowship and a means of contact for former members and friends; to keep track of current work in UK and overseas and, through that interest, to offer support and encouragement to the ongoing work of The Boys’ Brigade.

Stedfast Associations operate across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and throughout the world. Their aims are: "to further the aims and object of The Boys’ Brigade through a spirit of friendship amongst past and present members, sharing information on the present work at home and overseas, in addition to promoting the continuing effective work of the organisation to the general public."

There has long been a desire to establish an Association in Glasgow, the founding place of The Boys’ Brigade and in November 2008 it was decided that the Glasgow Stedfast Association would be established. Although linked to Glasgow Battalion, the Association operates independently. The Association is a meeting point for ex-members who wish to retain contact and maintain a supportive interest in The Boys’ Brigade in Glasgow. A small annual membership charge of £12 is made.
